Our designers Slobodan and Srdjan Vukovic, who have been working continuously for P.R.A. for 20 years, won the public competition for mascot of the 5th European University Games. Lucky (Laki) is a deer shovel, an endangered species in Serbia, and on the other hand, the Lucky (Laki) deer has all the characteristics of an athlete, is fast, agile and nimble, has a competitive spirit that, like all deer, shows by competing with other deer. Here he shows his strength and fighting skills in which he uses horns. For deer, it is a mutual competition to fight other animals, in which they most often defend members of their team, their herd, as well as the young. Lucky’s good both in attack and in defense. These are all traits that have determined that Lucky should be the ideal role model and mascot of the 5th European University Games.
As part of her contractual obligations, P.R.A. worked on the design and application of mascots in 21 sports at the Games, as well as in the application of Lucky in PR campaigns and online communication, primarily on social media.
