The decision was made on 1st of April and was guided by the following criteria: quality of project management, directedness towards market and geographical representation, proven development and continuous progress indicator, level of transparency, competitive advantage and innovation and use of new methods.
Branko Vujovic, director of Agency for economic restructure and foreign investments said on this occasion:
Award was a pleasant surprise. In the beginning we have defined as key principle the transparency in work, from our decisions to the whole process. All models of privatization which we have carried out: tenders, public auctions, and especially the model of mass voucher privatization have been actualized according to these principles. Previous world award which we and our P.R.A. agency received in 2002 for best public educational campaign in the world for our project Mass voucher privatization has the same criteria: transparency, expertise and professionalism. This award belongs to everyone who participated in this process. Award will be received in May this year in London.
