With the workshop held on May 25 at the Elementary School “Božidar Vuković – Podgoričanin”, Campaign “Moj život / My Life” began. To goal of the Campaign is tocreate awareness among citizens of the Roma and Egyptian population on the topics of early/contracted marriages, family violence and begging on the streets. This project of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights of the Government of Montenegro is part of a wider EU project in Montenegro, which is implemented by the P.R.A. agency.

The introductory workshop was the first in a series of eight workshops for members of the Roma and Egyptian community, eleven workshops for local institutions: Centers for social work, Police, Schools, Local self-government, Red Cross units, Unemployment Fund, Healthcare institutions and six three-day workshops for representatives of the Roma and Egyptian community and representatives of all local institutions. Those workshops will be held in September and October.

In addition to the educational part, creative workshops, schools for young Roma and Egyptians, activities in the media, social networks, a mobile application for better and more efficient communication on these topics and other communication activities are planned.
