Following the positive experience of Institute for multidisciplinary research, Civic Association ”Škola za opstanak” employed our agency to actualize conference named ”Urban ecology”.
In collaboration with Secretariat for Environmental Protection, work seminar was organized on subject of urban ecology and necessity of specific co-life of nature and human in the city, on ecological principles and concept of sustainable development. Seminar was dedicated to non-government organizations from fields of ecology, environmental protection, education and culture, and it was organized in Belgrade Student Cultural Centre.
Beside these activities, Agency created complete visual identity of the conference, created its’ media appearance and secured media partners, while publishing newspaper ”Urban ecology”.
Goran Trivan, city secretary for environment, opened the seminar. After the opening, Gordana Brun, founder of ”Škola za opstanak”, talked about goals, tasks and methods of permanent education in this field. Verica Gburčik from the Institute for multidisciplinary research, informed guests about climate changes in the world and in Belgrade, including the effect these changes have on nature, while Voislav Vasić presented specifics of biological diversities in the city. Prof. Dr Borislav Stojkov, from Republic Agency for Spatial Planning, introduced guests with Belgrade strategy for sustainable development.
Seminar members from non-government organizations was particularly interesting lecture of Ruža Helać, from Fund for Vojvodina’s non-profit sector development. She talked about her experiences on subject of public spiel and lobbying in environmental field. The need for these and other successful methods and experiences is present.
On the seminar, premiere of educational film ”We love Belgrade” (”Volimo Beograd”) was presented. This film was made by Civic Association ”Škola za opstanak” especially for this occasion and it is dedicated to further popularization of responsible relationship towards our environment.
”Škola za opstanak” educates population about environmental protection and sustainable development. Founders of the ”Škola”: mr Gordana Brun, mr Verica Gburčik and dr Vasić have accredited seminar for teachers – ”Obrazovanja za opstanak”. So far they actualized a large number of educational programs for children, students, city officials and non-government organizations.
